Institut Pengurus Harta dan Fasiliti Malaysia [Malaysian Institute of Property and Facility Managers] (MIPFM ) formerly known as Malaysian Institute of Professional Property Managers (MIPPM) was founded in 2011 through the spirit of cooperation and professional commitment by the private practitioners to promote the role of Property Managers, Asset Manager and Facilities Manager in Malaysia. The Mission Statement of MIPFM also include upholding the integrity of the profession, to upkeep and promote the development of the profession.
In line with this, MIPPM provides a forum for promotion of any cause common to the business interest of members to sustain honorable practice, to discourage malpractice and to encourage actively strict observance of the Code of Ethics and the Code of Professional Conduct prescribed by the Institute. In qualifying members, the Institute promotes education, training and holds examinations.
Officially formed on 30th March 2011, MIPFM was first known as the Malaysian Association of Professional Property Managers (MAPPM) before changed its name to Malaysian Institute of Professional Property Managers (MIPPM) on 18th July 2012. MIPPM then later changed its name to Malaysian Institute of Property and Facility Managers (MIPFM) after obtaining approval from the Registrar of Society on 17 March 2017. The objective is to include Facility Managers as part of the Property Managers’ profession.
